Anti-Racism Committee and Book List

The Anti-Racism Committee is currently inactive, for information please email eboard@arisia.org

Mission Statement

As part of our acknowledgement that Arisia has ongoing work to do in welcoming Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) we created this web page. We seek to help members of the community recognize our shared history of being not as inclusive as we have promised, and to move toward a practice of active anti-racism.

The Anti Racism Committee (ARC) has put together a series of books, online training resources, and videos so that members of the Arisia community can do self-guided learning on how to be anti-racist and learn new internal, interpersonal, institutional and ideological practices.

Recommended Books, Short Reviews, and How to Find Them

Highlighted in red are those that are part of a lending library the ARC has created, curated by Jan Dumas; these books are available for loan. Please send an email to arc@arisia.org.

We have also curated a list at the ARC's goodreads page which we welcome members of our community to use as a guide to self-education.
