Date, Time and Place: Meeting called to order at 10:55 PM at the home of Buzz Harris, 137 Franklin Street in Arlington, MA.

Notes come in, MENTOR goes out.
So far, all recent changes to Bylaws and Policies that have recently been passed by the Membership have been noted in the appropriate documents. HTML copies of these documents are available at the Corporate Web Site. Printed copies will be made in the very near future and mailed to the membership shortly.
I'm still waiting on Envelopes printed with the Business Reply Permit to send out with the membership surveys. When I get the envelopes, I'll send them, the surveys, and the newly printed copies of the Articles, Bylaws, and Policies out at once -- this is so I don't have to worry overmuch about assembling the surveys and envelopes in MENTOR and whether or not they'll fall out. I will worry about that when sending complimentary MENTORs to past members to feel out whether or not they would be interested in rejoining the Corporation.
The records are still a mess. I'm waiting on the delivery of the file cabinet I've been told has been purchased. When it is in place at Storage, I'll set aside a weekend cooperatively selected with the Records Task Force to sort through them and file them correctly (hopefully when the weather is warmer).
I'm still waiting on copies of the following records for the files: Original signed 3 year contract with the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Towers and Castle; signed addendum to above contract, draft and final versions of the Hotel Resume for ARISIA '00, and the ARISIA '00 Debrief Notes.

Arisia 00 currently has $22,167.11 in the checking account, and total net assets of $25,348.54 including accounts payable and receivable. I anticipate further expenses of about $6,000 and further income of about $500. I predict a net bottom line for the convention of about $20,000 on income of $57,500. Approximately $8,000 of this represents concessions made by the hotel to compensate for the loss of the Terrace Room. This is (we hope) what accountants call a "nonrecurring event", which means we can't count on it happening next year. Apart from one-time events, I expect Arisia 00 to beat its budget by about $3,500 on the income side and about $2,000 on the expense side.

We missed Quorum by one person. Please, members, make a concerted effort to attend meetings.
The next meeting, by default provided by the Bylaws, shall be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, 19 Sunday 2000 in Building 66 at MIT. At this meeting, the date of 16 April 2000 meeting will be confirmed, and we will discuss setting the May meeting for a weeknight.

Some Stray Notes
Phi submitted an intermediate budget report at the end of January, and it is included in this issue of MENTOR.
The Clerk would like to apologize for a typographical faux pas from the last issue. On Page 3, it is erroneously headlined that the Executive Board Meeting was held on 31 August 1999, when in actuality it was held 16 January 2000, as correctly reported in the text of the section.
