Anyone who is interested in being on the Volunteer Appreciation Committee should speak to Phi.
Eboard
Report
Phi, Ben Levy, Don Eastlake, and Jill Eastlake just finished looking at the
Royal Sonesta as a possible venue for Arisia ’09. It is probably too small for
Arisia but might be great for something smaller. MSP to go into committee
of the whole. MSP (after much discussion about hotels) to come out of the
committee of the whole with no motion. [A motion asking the Eboard to act
in this matter was already passed last month.]
Vice-President’s
Report
Not present / no report.
Treasurer’s
Report
We filed our taxes. Now that we have received money from A’07 we have
about $8000 unallocated.
Clerk’s
Report
Thank you for signing the attendance list which was passed around. Dues are
currently $20 for anyone who wishes to join. Mail has been distributed and I
have more to give out tonight; thanks to Phi for picking it up at the PMB this
week.
A’07

Ben worked with Alex to recreate the books. Tem is working to collect
money from the people who still owe for their hotel rooms.

There are Programming Meetings this Saturday and Sunday starting at 2 PM at
the Eastlake’s home in Milford. People coming should bring laptops. We have
some nice events and raffle prizes planned.

Lots of money is coming in and not much is going out. There is about
$25,301 in the checking account at the moment.
Relaxacon
Report
There are two people who have volunteered to help with food. We are
looking for parents interested in helping with children. Mary is looking for
someone to run registration. It was clarified that volunteers should be
encouraged to (pay and) attend the Relaxacon but that it is open to all.
A '09
ConChair Report
Still no hotel confirmed yet. Jill will be appointing a Marketing person
real soon now. Working on ads for various conventions.
CIC

Stuff was borrowed by Philcon. We could use some better instructions and
repairs to some things including the fast-fold screen Vincent’s case. MSP
to go into committee of the whole. There was a discussion of the condition
of some of our equipment and the behavior of people / conventions borrowing our
equipment. MSP to go out of committee of the whole.
